Leah Zlatkin explains the trend in downsizing: “As these generations get older, we’re starting to see a lot of these baby boomers ageing out of the homes that they are in”.
“People are looking to make a change” she says. “It may be due to financial stress or a lifestyle change that they don’t need as much room or they don’t want to do the upkeep so this is a trend that I believe will continue into this year”.
She says that now might be a great time for all those home owners who are looking to make a change capitalise on the increasing residential real estate prices by putting up that for sale sign and moving out.
